At Special Olympics at UGA, we work with children and adults with mental disabilities throughout the Athens-Clarke county area by fundraising, planning fun events, providing assistance in their P.E. classes, and helping prepare for their games.

Special Olympics at UGA works with children and adults with mental disabilities throughout the Athens-Clarke County school district. We host events such as Prom, the Hometown Rival's baseball game, and other smaller fundraising opportunities. In order to finance the athletes’ ability to attend the Special Olympics Games and make a sizable contribution to the Athens-Clarke County Schools Chapter of Special Olympics at the end of the year, we need your help! This year, we have set our fundraising goal higher than ever before. After covering event expenses, we hope to donate $15,000 to go towards equipment, uniforms, registration, food, and incidentals for their local and state Special Olympics games.

Prom is our biggest fundraiser for the fall semester, and it is coming up on Thursday, November 2nd. This year, the theme is Welcome to the Jungle!

What better incentive to raise money than giving our Special Olympics athletes the opportunity to pie UGA student athletes in the face?

For every dollar amount raised, a mystery University of Georgia Athlete will get a pie to the face. Stay tuned to see which athletes are revealed and will get pied!
