Holly Strader hasn't added a story.
Imagine being in the worst storm of your life. Waves crashing and pulling you under. You are gasping for air, unable to breathe. Your body being tossed to and fro underwater. Just when you think you are not going to make it, the storm settles and you are finally able to come up for air. You've barely had a chance to catch your breath when the storm of life returns and pushes you back under the water.
This is what life has been like for the Simpson family for the past three years. On July 4, 2014 Brandon (age 26) underwent his first of four brain surgeries and was diagnosed with a very rare brain cancer (Medullblastoma). After the fourth surgery the doctors were able to remove all of the cancer from his brain, unfortunately though, the cancer had already spread to his spine. Brandon and Ashley did everything they knew to do to help Brandon's body heal, all while raising their daughter, Layla and giving birth to their son, Ty. June 2016 they received the good news that Brandon's body was cancer free! Life for the Simpson family was finally turning around and getting back to "normal."
On June 14, 2017, Brandon went in for his routine scans and his brain and spine came back cancer free like they had hoped for, however, they received the report that the cancer had spread to his bones very extensively. They are seeking what medical treatments are available for his type of cancer, but mostly they are believing God for a complete healing miracle for Brandon's body.
Brandon and Ashley will be celebrating their seven year wedding anniversary on September 4, 2017. They are one of the rare people you find in life that you instantly love and connect with. They are giving, compassionate, hard working, loving, and absolutely amazing people. Brandon is turning 29 this month and for his birthday he would like to take Ashley, and their two children: Layla (4 yrs.) and Ty (2 yrs.), on their first family vacation to Disney World in August. Since the most recent diagnoses, Brandon, has not been able to work due to frequent doctor visits, and his physical capability while fighting cancer. They have not asked for help or funds, however, we know that a trip to Disney is not possible without the help from friends and family like you.
Your contribution to help send the Simpson Crew to Disney World and make Brandon's dream come true would be appreciated more than words could express. We are also asking for your prayers and that you would believe with the Simpson family for a miracle.
A community is a powerful thing and we are thankful that you are part of theirs.
