Lydia Kunzler hasn't added a story.
This fundraiser is to raise funds for training a service dog for a disabled rescuer. Lydia puts a lot of time and energy doing volunteer work, visiting nursing and assisted living homes to brighten their day, and gives a lot of herself to rescue work for special needs dogs. She has given so much of herself, but she desperately needs help!!
After loosing her service dog Sonakih tragically in December she was left both financially and emotionally depleted. Friends helped her recover from the vet bills incurred trying to save her previous service dog, but she still has a few bills from her that she’s paying on, and is financially stressed. She has taken in a new service dog prospect to train to assist her - but training doesn’t come cheap, and with her health and no trained service dog, she is struggling to do everything without some professional help.
She has found a trainer she loves, but training classes are going to run her about $150 per 6 week session as long as she can do group classes. Private sessions will also be needed as Haseya advances in her training. Expected total training costs and the proper gear that will be needed will run her between $5,000 and $10,000 by the time Haseya is fully trained. She also has a giant breed service dog she has in a board and train program that is running her $500 a month. The reason for two service dogs is they’ll be trained to assist her in different ways. Haseya her standard poodle will be trained in object retrieval, medical alert (which she is proving to be a natural at!), and PTSD related tasks. Indus the Presa Canario is being trained in bracing, wheelchair assistance, balance support, and other mobility related task.
Due to their difference in size and breed, the combination of the two together will not only give her great support and allow her to continue doing the good works she does to save dogs in need and help her community. It also will allow her the flexibility to use one or the other so if one gets sick or has a bad day she isn’t without the help she needs to be able to be independent. She is so deserving of this help! Please help her raise the funds needed to get her service dogs fully trained so she can enjoy her life as she did before her previous service dog passed away!
She does loose about 10% of the funds sent through fundrazr. If you would like to donate directly to her, you can send funds through paypal at PayPal.me/PoodleMomma or through Venmo @poodlemomma.
