WE WANT TO CREATE AN IMPACT FOR CHILDREN

Children are the most vulnerable population group in any country and as such are the first to suffer from social injustices, inequality and the consequences of climate change.

We are convinced that, with access to education and decent living conditions, they have the potential to RISE AND SHINE.

WE WANT TO HIT 15K€ IN DONATIONS

We propose you to join forces with us and channel support for two local social impact endeavors:

1. The ST. CATHERINE's orphanage based in Kibera, Kenya.

Located in the biggest slum in Africa, the St. Catherine Children and Educational Centre (St. Catherine) takes care of about 300 pupils and 30 orphans, aged 5 to 18+ years old. Organized as a self-help group by the inhabitants of Kibera, St. Catherine receives no support from outside institutions. We help them to organize school supplies, school fees, and outdoor activities for the children.

2. Projects run by our local superwoman Dita based in Lombok, Indonesia.

We have known Dita for over 6 years now and she is an incredible female powerhouse with an endless drive to improve the lives of her communities. Dita runs multiple projects with our support - from basic human rights education for children to an initiative to curb youth unemployment rates. 

Laura has worked closely with all the above stakeholders for over 8 years during her PhD in Social Innovation at Cambridge and while studying social injustices as a Professor at UCL. So we can assure you that they are committed, reliable and efficient and that 100% of what you donate will be effectively dedicated to improving children’s lives.

WITH THE FUNDS RAISED, WE WISH TO: 

• Organize outdoor and cultural activities with the children
• Support children's access to healthcare and education
• Support local initiatives to curb youth unemployment rates
  
  

WHO WE ARE

Laura, as part of her PhD in Social Innovation at Cambridge University and her time as an Assistant Professor at UCL, has come across many social inequalities and injustices that particularly affect children. She has worked in Tanzania, Nigeria, and Indonesia amongst other countries.

Between his bachelor and master studies in communication at Sciences Po Paris, Félix worked for 4 months as a volunteer teacher for EduAction, a social project aiming to broaden the world view of children from disadvantaged public schools in Chimbote, Peru.

Now, together, we want to follow up on these experiences and support the local social impact initiatives described above.
