Digital Educational Classes for Refugee Children

Greece camps are home to 20,000 refugee children who have been stranded there with their families since February 2016 waiting for asylum. Basic food and shelter are being provided, but educational initiatives and resources are scarce. Traditional methods of providing classes have proved to be difficult given that most families live in tents in a state of chaos. Our team, who speaks Arabic, Kurdish and Farsi, visits the camps equipped with projectors, speakers and tablets loaded with educational apps, forming pop-up classes for English and Mathematics.

Our team is a group of volunteers from all over Europe, mostly from the UK. We have operated in two camps and planning to expand to the rest of the camps in Greece. Your contributions will help in the initial cost of buying more tablets/headphones/speakers/projectors, as well as in the daily logistical cost of commuting, internet hotspots, and incentives to local tutors to help with this project. It is estimated that £20 would help a child to have access to classes for a whole month.

Please help the refugee children during this hard phase of their lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
