Rachel Fox hasn't added a story.
For those of you i have not yet had the pleasure to actually meet in person, my name is Rachel Fox. I am a Transgender Male to Female.
I decided to transition about 2 years ago, and began Hormone Replacement Therapy on the 28th February 2016, Unfortunately Testosterone has not been kind and i have very strong male features especially in the upper third of the face (forehead, eyebrow bossing, nose), but also a very male jawbone
I quite quickly realized that unfortunately due to my strong male features especially in the forehead, nose & jaw, that HRT alone wasn't going to get me to the where I want to be, and this male face i have does not at all match how i feel inside.
Passing socially is a very big thing for me, my masculinity causes me alot of stress when i am trying to present as female, and due to the poor gender education in this country i do not feel safe enough to be myself in public as have ben physically and verbally abused publicly several times when ive tried. I now never go out in public en femme. and always have to present as male.
Whilst makeup can do wonders it can only do so much and i am always read immediately as male by people i meet which i find very distressing., even though i have had a tracheashave (Adams apple reduction) and upper & lower blephroplasty done which my partner and i funded (and are currently paying off the loans, with about 4 years left on them.)
After doing extensive research Facial Team (Dr. Capitan and Dr. Simon) clearly stood out as the best. On the 13th Feb 2017 i had my consultation at Facial Feminization Team with Dr Daniel Simon & Dr Raul Bellinga, http://www.facialteam.eu
3D photos and CT scans were taken and analyzed, and were used along with the doctors professional medical and aesthetic opinion to determine the most feminizing procedures required for my specific facial structure.
As some of you who know me already know, I am pretty far from going “full time” even with my blephroplasty and Tracheashave,
I hate to say it, but I am always envious (not a word i like to use in life generally) of those who can “pass” from HRT alone, but also of the people who didn’t feel the need to pass.
For me, I don’t know if it was a product of the environment I grew up in, but i realized very soon after coming out to my partner that I’d never be able to handle transitioning if I could not pass socially and be read as female by others, I would feel constantly stressed and vulnerable which i wil not put myself or her through, and without FFS this will never be the case and Rachel will forever be something hidden and withheld from ever really flourishing.
I have had 42 years of my life presenting as a gender i did not ask to be, nor want to be yet because of social values, family values, beliefs and pressures had very little choice in the matter. Things have changed alot socially, the most judgmental & controlling members of my family are now dead and whilst it may sound awful, if they were still here - Rachel would never have been.
I dont want to spend the rest of my life pretending to be something i am not, For the next 3 years, my goal is to earn and save as much money as possible towards attaining a feminized face and body to enable me to pass convinicingly in public and to finally say goodbye to "Him"
