Amanda Nelson- "This comes from a place of embarrassment and despair. We are out of options so I thought I’d give this a shot.
My family and I gave up our beautiful home in Vancouver due to some pretty horrific circumstances. My friend said “just come move into my house in Boise it’s empty and you’re welcome to it”. We up and moved urgently before actually seeing it first. The homeowners (my friend) hadn’t seen the house in 4 years and were as shocked as we were.
Well we arrived and this is the condition it’s in. Completely NOT liveable. We have been using my other friends camper for the past 3 months, but he now needs it back and we are in no position to afford rental prices. We HAVE to finish this house or find a nearby house to stay in while we try and do this house.
Between me not working for the past 2 months (dealing with the move, caring for my mom who is terminal, and other factors)…we have just enough cash flow to feed the kids and keep them well cared for.
We are a tidy, respectful family. Just really need some blessings right now.
Worst situation we’ve been in. I’ve never had to ask for help but we really need help.
I work as a nurse (but haven’t started working yet waiting on my Idaho license approval)
My partner works as a general contractor but has been having to travel back and forth to Vancouver to wrap up jobs there.
Our kids are aged 12, 9, and 3.

This was a post I came across on a "mom" group I'm in on Facebook. When I read this I wanted to do everything in my power to help this beautiful family. We are working together to assemble locals to help with their home.
We need YOUR help with donations or sharing this, to get it out there and reach more people! We have the bodies to help, but need funding to do as many repairs as we can and give this amazing family a fresh, less stressful start to their new life in Idaho.
