I need your help.* I am currently detained at the Cibola County Immigrant Detention Center near Grants, New Mexico. I have been in the U.S. for almost all of my life and I am more than 477 miles away from my family in Odessa, Texas.

I was able to get a pro bono attorney to help me get a bond to get out of detention, but the $3,000 ordered by the immigration judge is too much for my family to pay.

Please help my family raise $3,000 so that I can get back home!

One day in April, as I was walking to a friend’s house, police officers in Odessa, Texas stopped me because of reported “suspicious activity” in the area. Unfortunately, the police in Texas are being forced to become part of Trump’s deportation machine through the racist law SB4. Though I wasn't involved in the “suspicious activity,” I was arrested and in two days, I was picked up and detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

I have difficulties with speech and learning and I was not able to get the help of an attorney throughout any of that process. Like many others in the United States, my family is struggling to make ends meet and is unable to collect enough money to get me home.

If I get out of detention, I may be eligible to apply for the program known as DACA for immigrant youth to stop my deportation. My family has set up this Campaign to help pay for my release.

I hope to go college one day and to enter the welding trade because I love to work on cars. I am a hard worker and I do what I can—cutting grass, cleaning yards—to help my family financially.

Across the country many families like mine are facing uncertainty and fear because of Trump’s unfair immigration enforcement policies. But immigrants like me know that this is our country too. All of us, in New Mexico, Texas, and across the country, are #HereToStay. Please help keep my family from being torn apart.
