I am raising money for my husband Orlando Watley’s attorney costs.  I am raising $800 US ($1050 CAD) that will cover the costs for the lawyer to travel to Calipatria State Prison to meet with Elk Bone.

Orlando Watley has spent the past 25 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit.  Fighting for justice for Indigenous Peoples in American and Canadian courts has never been easy!   Indigenous peoples face wrongful convictions, excessive sentencing and systemic racism within the criminal justice system at epidemic levels.  This must stop and is wrong!

WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING LAWYERS, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISTS AND VOLUNTEERS TO HELP GET INVOLVED TO FIGHT FOR ORLANDO'S

Falsely rendered DNA test results produced through blood evidence tampering, fabricated DNA testing, falsified lab records and false testimony delivered by Daniel Gregonis and other state actors, has stolen 25 years of Orlando’s life. This DNA evidence must be revisited by legal and forensic experts so that Orlando Watley’s wrongful conviction is overturned and he is restored to his family, community and Nation.
