For those who don't know me yet, my name is Mirela Mistodinis and I am the head of Europe4strays, a small NGO involved in the rescue of the poor Romanian strays dogs.
I am based in a rural area in the county of Vrancea, Movilita, Romania.
My life is entirely devoted to the rescue of the strays from the streets and to provide them a safe future far from the danger and the hunger.
I shelter around 160 dogs with the help of my sister Neli and my husband Dragos.
Feeding and basic veterinary care are the most important fixed expenses approximately 2500€ per month, to cover it I rely on adoption fees, donations, our German partnership and my husband modest incomes.
As the number of dogs in need is constantly growing, last year I started my project called Casa Cheerful Kindergarten to give a chance to a larger number of strays of a home.
With the help of the donors and some savings we could bring electricity and water on my land, finished fencing and started the construction of the main building.
Today I need more financial help to continue and finish the project to move in with all the dogs by the end of the year.
They are actually living in a reduced space that doesn't allow the exercise they need to stay fit and healthy and happy and also not all of them have indoor bedding.
They are in desperate need of space and freedom to feel alive and forget the traumatic past The Cheerful Kindergarten will be their forever home, only few of them are lucky and find abroad adoptions.
