Hi,

I'm Bentley's mommy Chelsea, and to say we've been through a lot in the last few months is a huge understatement!

My car was stolen back in October, and I applied for and got a new job which required a move from one major city to another.  That also meant applying for and  getting a place to rent - it's been exhausting!

To make matters worse, my poor kitty Bentley couldn't take the stress of all the moving, staying in temporary places while we found our new home, getting used to other pets at various lodgings - it was all just too much for her.

She started acting unwell and not eating her usual amount and before I knew it she was showing signs of a urinary tract infection.  By the time I could get her to a vet she was sicker than we knew (cat's can hide it so well).  She was jaundiced and wound up staying in the hospital for several days on IV fluids and medications all of which cost a small fortune on top of our moving expenses.

They wanted to keep her in the hospital until she was eating on her own but there was no way I could afford it, so they sent her home with a feeding tube.  I brought her home Sunday evening and she seemed so happy to be home and all was going quite well until Monday morning when I got ready for work AND SHE DECIDED TO PULL OUT THE FEEDING TUBE HERSELF!!!  I had to rush her back to the vet the 24 hour vet where it took them some time to calm ME down and have another one inserted!

Normally I wouldn't dream of asking for help, and I'm pretty mortified to have to do so now, but if there is any way you have even just a little bit to spare we are currently looking at vet bills that may well exceed $3500.  Every little bit counts, no amount would be too small!  And every contribution will be so greatly appreciated!!!

I'll continue to post updates here on her progress.  Right now she's on 4 different medications and I'm feeding her through the tube.  With luck she won't pull this one out any time soon!!!
