Thank you so much for visiting my donation page! I am Elin Falla, a 16-year-old student at KCC (I have just started Year 12) and I plan to run a half marathon along the cliff from Thurlestone Rock to Goat Rock and back on Boxing Day this year in order to raise a bit of money. I am training hard so as to be able to complete it on the day, so I would really appreciate any donations.

I am raising money for a school expedition in July 2015 to North Vietnam for three weeks. The purpose of the trip is to challenge ourselves and make a difference to the community out there, while appreciating the diversity of the culture and way of life compared to our own.

The trip has three phases: the challenge phase in which we plan to climb Mt. Fansipan, the highest mountain in Vietnam (3143m); the project phase in which we help at a local school or orphanage to benefit them in the long run by doing redecorating, working with the children and doing community work; and finally the cultural phase in which we are able to explore the diverse culture and see the main tourist attractions, as well as visiting some places of outstanding natural beauty.

It goes without saying that this trip is rather expensive, and we have been given the task to fundraise at least half of the money ourselves: it's seen as part of the challenge! I would really appreciate any donations, thanks!
