Losang Tenzin is a 12 year Nepali monk at Shar Gaden Monastery. He fell in the rain and broke his arm so badly, the bone came through his skin and he needed surgery before having his arm set. This had to be paid for at the time of treatment, so in order to get the care that Losang Tenzin needed, his room teacher, Dakpa Lungtok, had to use all of his savings, plus the savings of two other young monks that are under his care. Those monies comes from alms the monks receive at pujas and is put away towards what they will need to earn their Geshe degrees. The cost of treatment so far has been 42,000 rupees,which is $697.56. We are trying to raise $1,000 to cover those costs and for any additional treatment. Any money that is not used will be kept in fund for emergencies such as this.
