Booker is one of No Paw Left Behind's most charished alumni. 8 years ago, Booker was found on one of our volunteer's front lawns, in the middle of summer, in full blown heat stroke and hit by a car. He has fractures to his hip and leg, scars from older injuries, and was very overheated and listless. He was rushed to the vet and made a miraculous recovery. Little did we know that for the next 8 years this amazing Flat Coat Retriever would be No Paw's most amazing volunteers. He has accompanied his mom on over 200 behavior evaluations, has gone to more than 50 school presentations to educate students about responsible pet care and rescue, he has been to 15 conferences, countless events and has stolen the hearts of everyone who has met him.
Now Booker, the dog who has helped to foster more than 900 dogs and cats over the past 8 years, needs our help. He is now about 15 years old and is battling malignant cancer. He has received on surgery already and may need another, as the tumor is refusing to let go of our precious boy. Even in his condition, he is kind and gentle to all.
