Jaxon Saenz is Fighting for His Life
Jaxon's little sister, Shylee, was born premature, and while on a check-up with her pediatrician, Jaxon’s mother mentioned that he had fallen the week before. The family’s doctor looked Jaxon over and noticed his eyes were yellow. After undergoing blood work and an ultrasound, the family was shocked to learn that their sweet boy was suffering from cirrhosis of the liver. Doctors say a liver transplant is critical to his survival.
This has been a difficult time for Jaxon’s family both emotionally and financially, as they’re still facing numerous bills related to Shylee’s early birth. Jaxon’s mother was forced to stop working to focus on his medical care full-time, but the family is strong and thankful for the support of so many loved ones. Before his health began to decline, 4-year-old Jaxon was a normal, playful little boy, who was looking forward to starting pre-K. He loved to play with his cousins, run, climb, play super heroes and ride his bike. Now, he’s limited to just sitting and playing without doing anything too strenuous, and he can’t wait to be healthy enough to resume his normal childhood. But right now, the Saenz family needs your help.
Jamaica Joe's, OB Cues, and Str8 Shots are teaming together to try to help Jaxon's family raise just a small portion of the money that is necessary for Jaxon's survival. Jamaica Joe's is hosting the 7th Annual Oklahoma Bar Table 9-Ball Championship from November 8th -10th. Players who come in for the event get to play in a $5,000.00 added guaranteed tournament for a $50.00 entry fee. There is 100% payback on the entry fees as well as a calcutta that will surely involve a nice purse. But you will get so much more than you imagined.
Team Str8 Shots own Nick Varner and Karen Corr are flying in for the event. These two Hall of Famers will, alongside Jamaica Joe's own Chip Compton and Joey Gray, do challenge matches throughout the weekend as well as an exhibition in an effort to raise funds. All the proceeds from the raffles, t-shirt sales, as well as the challenge matches will go to help Jaxon's family.
How can we help even more? Well if you cannot attend the event but can make a donation of at least $1.00, you will be helping so much. It may not seem like a lot but the more people that can donate $1.00 or more; the more the financial help we are able to give this family.
So let's all pitch in and help this little boy get back to being a little boy again!
