Loving From Above hasn't added a story.
After losing her husband Mary found it hard to carry on. This was to be Richard´s last deployment. And the family planned on buying a small piece of land and build a modest home. They planned on having more children and dreamed of having the bus pick them up. They planned on going to plays, sporting events and just watching the children grow up in a small town.
Those dreams ended when Richard was hit by enemy fire. His battle buddy was there for Richard and remembers the day all too much. His last words where ¨"don´t get killed saving me soldier, tell Mary and Monica I am sorry and love them. That´s a dam order RANGER"
Eric recalls Richard and him making a pact that no matter how things went the other would have to survive. To tell each other’s family´s that the other loved them. Eric remembers the long talks about Richards pride and joy Monica his daughter.
Richard once said "she is his every day reminder that there is a God." Monica was the batteries to his heart. Richard was one hell of RANGER but, even a better father.
Mary Silva and her daughter Monica were at a homeless shelter when I met them. Mary had been suffering from severe depression for sometime. Mary´s husband Richard Silva was an Army Ranger who lost his life in Iraq. During a fire fight just outside Bagdad.
She lost her life partner and just could not be around other military families. Mary eventually found herself homeless due to her depression. Mary recalls feeling alone in this world without her husband.
One day Monica was playing in the shelter game room, with a little girl named Angela. Monica came running to Mary crying. Mary asked sweetheart what is wrong. Monica said "My new friend Angela´s mother died in Iraq"
That´s when I met Mary our daughters became best friends. And we had both lost our Marriages to a war. Our soldiers never returned home was our common ground.
I no longer felt alone when Mary and Monica shared their days with Angela and me. My heart began to mend. Mary and I returned to bases to help others who lost loved ones. We married one another and Eric, Richards battle buddy walked Mary down the aisle and gave her away.
We started Loving-From-Above in memory of Richard and my wife.
We help the severely depressed widows and children of our fallen Soldiers. We help them find new homes, pay bills, buy food, and most of all the love and hope that we all need.
Please donate anything that you can to help Loving-From-Above
