My name is Jane, I am an Autistic parent, activist, writer, and photographer, and I have the opportunity to present a TASH Talk about Scriptural Bases for inclusion in faith communities at the TASH Conference in early December, in Washington, DC.  This presentation is based on my books:  A Part or Apart?  and its study guide, which are directed towards faith communities and provide a framework for discussing inclusion.  Opening the discussion is particularly important because faith communities are exempt from the ADA and also often base their interpretation of inclusion on pity, and design it poorly, rather than basing inclusion on hospitality which is supported by Christian, Jewish, and Muslim scriptures.

Some of you already knw me and know that I need to provide coverage for my son at home in Minnesota while I travel, as 16 year olds usually don't find adult conferences to be very interesting. Some know that I do this all on a very limited income.

I need your help. The donations will cover the cost of the conference, travel expenses, by car or plane, food, hotel and equipment rental. If I don't use all the money raised, I will donate it to another friend who might need help getting to the conference.

Can you donate any amount? If you can't donate, can you share this page with your friends? That would be very helpful too!

Thank you! I am excited to be able to help people learn about why inclusion is not only the right thing to do, but required by many religious faiths.
