Cynthia Lopez hasn't added a story.
These days, more and more people buy guns and rifles. And each of them has their own personal reason for doing so. Owning a gun has been a public issue, especially after the mass shooting that happened in U.S. Surprisingly, the demands of ammunition in the market continued to increase and here are some of the reasons why:
Protection
Even good people own a gun. This is not for the intention of harming anyone but to serve as a protection for one's self. Unfortunately, such reason has been overused. And it is the same reason voiced out by juvenile offenders who have committed gun-related crimes.
According to psychology, man has an innate nature of self-preservation. And the danger is the fact that many often anticipate a worst case scenario. Hence, if you found out that the people living around you own a gun, it often follows that you want to have one too. But the self-preservation sometimes leads to aggression. This can be supported as you trace the countries firearm history over the years. And this is the very reason why ownership of a gun is still being questioned these days.
Recreation
Some people buy guns and rifles to join a trophy hunting . Shooting and hunting seem to be one popular hobby that many individuals are hooked these days. This is the reason why there are substantial numbers of people who invest for this item nowadays. Hunting becomes a hobby for many people but such hobby requires one to be armed.
Insecurity and Anger
Surprisingly, some people feel like they are naked if they don't carry a gun with them. This can be attributed to one's insecurity. Guns are often equated to power. These types of people are those who are weak, those who are feeling small or someone who is an underachiever. And they feel that dealing with others give them some sort of a social anxiety. And carrying a gun makes one think that he is better than the other, even if such thought is hidden in one's subconscious level.
At other times, having a gun makes one feel a lot better when it comes to social status. However, the competition for power will not end. If you own a gun, others own too. Hence, you would desire to own more guns, bigger and better than anyone else. In such case, guns are associated to scapegoating and often relates to impulsivity and anger.
Cultural and Social Factors
People are often vulnerable to social pressure. One common example is owning the latest iPhone available in the market. Why would one set aside other needs just to buy the phone one desires? The same thing can be true with guns. Anyone who grew in a society where gun ownership is a norm would desire for the best ammunition one can get. Your attitude towards gun will be greatly influenced by the type of society where you live.
No matter what your reason is for buying a rifle, just make sure that you read air rifle reviews before you make the final purchase and the AirRifleHunter.com website can be a valuable tool when it comes to this matter.
