Toby's family found out he has several birth defects. Hip dyspepsia and extra bones in him elbows. Because of this he now has broken his knee.
Toby we rescued by Furry Monster Rescue last year. He came from a high kill shelter. The owner of the rescue, Christina Rolland, and her family fell so much in love with him they kept him. Toby is so loved by his forever family. He is a great boy who loves his kids and the other dogs, plus the foster dogs that enter their home! Toby is a 14 months old Mastiff mix and is in danger again. His family notice he was running different with his front legs, but never cared. Then one day he started limping on his back leg. So like any good pet owner they took him to see the doctor. They thought he just pulled a muscle. With pain meds in hand he went home to rest for a couple of weeks. 2 weeks past and he still was not getting better. So he went back to the doctor. They took x-rays this time. They found out that Toby has several birth defects. He has hip dyspepsia, because his hips are bad that has caused him to brake his knee. The vet has said he will most likely brake his other knee with time. Then he has extra bones that has grown in his elbows that has given him limited mobility in his front legs. The vet would like for Toby to see a specialist for his front legs. He is not sure if they could fix them or not, but he is very hopeful. Right now his family is mainly worried about his broken knee. Toby's family has already lost 2 personal dogs this year and don't want to make it 3. Toby's life can be saved again with a little help from you. The amount that they are asking to raise is only to cover the broken knee, at that price you can see why they need your help. This family goes above and beyond for unwanted animals all over the US.
