Luke Clark hasn't added a story.
Hi everyone, the Lord has encouraged me to share with you a brief testimony of Christina's life and ask for your help in coming alongside her as she is His daughter and our sister. What a great opportunity the Lord has provided for the family of faith to come together in unity on the Central Coast and demonstrate His love and strength.
Growing up in a Buddhist family in Southern California the pursuit of Jesus was not acceptable behavior for Christina as a child. The first time she encountered God was at some kind of festival when she was 5 or 6 yrs. old and saw "I love Jesus" written on balloons. As the Lord continued to reveal Himself in small ways such as this, Christina became eager to seek Him out as an alternative to the lonely oppressed Buddhist life she was living. At age 13 she called her brothers friend to find out how to pray for the Lords salvation. She wrote it down on paper, hid it under the bed, and believed she received it. Her decision was not supported by her family so at a young age she pursued His guidance and studied His word in secret sometimes even on the bathroom floor where it was safe. She was persecuted in her family with religious devices such as "shunning", guilt, condemnation, and lies. She had to submit to her family for years and attend Buddhist temples while continuing to worship Jesus in the secret place of her heart. Later in high school she was able to get connected with christian clubs and groups and satisfy her thirst and hunger for the love of Jesus in fellowship.
After high school she was easily swept away to Pennsylvania by romantic love and some idea to start a christian music band with her fiance. It seemed hopeful but naturally fell apart and became abusive. In hindsight, she can see that she lacked spiritual maturity.
Upon returning to California as an adult and being with her family they had to accept that she was not going to give up Jesus. However, they instead decided to disown her. In July 2012 her father said he never wanted to see her again. Since that time she has been couch surfing between SoCal, Santa Barbara, SLO, Santa Maria, and Northern Cal.
Christina has landed in Slo Microchurch and Everyday church in Oceano and many of us who know her have been blessed by her. She is gifted with a special annointing for prophetic worship that is blessed as many have witnessed. She is humble, loving, and bubbling with the passion of Christ even in the midst of these trials. I'm looking forward to see how the Lord uses her in greater things after she gets on her feet. Come hell or high water I believe the Lord will surely take care of Christina by planting her somewhere but I tell you the truth; it would be our folly to not reach out and receive her into our family here on the Central Coast and miss out on the Lords blessing by His grace He has given to her to share with us and the unreached.
. As He raises her up I have great confidence the Lord will send her back to her family armored with His love to forgive, minister, and bless them....but it is not yet that time. In the meantime, please pray for a job and a place to rent or consider offering one to her outright as she has a great resume.
God wants to give her a family, a job, and some money for a couple months food and rent so that she can seek employment with more confidence after getting some spiritual and emotional rest. I'm humbly asking you to make a donation and also pray for this effort and also for Christina.
