EMERGENT UPDATE:
Asantewaa's and her kids suffered a house fire this week. Everyone is physically okay, thankfully. Any and everything helps to make her transition into a new temporary living space easier for the family.

UPDATE:

She has been back home with her family for a couple of months (pardon the late update), and is in need of school supplies and other familial necessities to keep her household running while she continues to raise funds for legal assistance.

For those of you who don’t know Asantewaa, she’s asked that I leave a personal note from her:

“I’ve reached a low in life that I am having a hard time navigating on my own, and I’m at a point where I need to ask for help from my community. I’m trying to climb out of a hole that I didn’t create by myself, and just need some help to get some stability.

I am a recently a single mother without the resources to support my 3 kids. However, I do have my own business, and if I am able to get enough funding to get that up and running again it will be much easier for me to provide for my family without having to rely on so much outside help.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out so far, and thank you in advance to everyone else who will help along the way.”

Hey all!

It's me, your Friendly Neighborhood Diamond making the internet rounds again. We are raising money for a friend who has come into some legal trouble and is in need of immediate financial assistance. All funds will go straight to supporting getting her home to her family, and towards financial support for legal counsel.

If you guys know anything about the "justice" system, you know it inherently works against lower-income citizens, and money is a key player in whether or not these things get worked out correctly.

So please, every dollar counts! Help us bring our friend home and get the support she needs!
