My name is Andre greyling,8years ago i had a stomach surgery and need help now
- Hi my name is Andre Greyling I am a dad of 3 Children 2 boys and a girl my two boys no longer live with me as they have grown into 2 young adults and also have families of their own.
- So here is my story, 8 years ago I was diagnosed with stomach cancer and treatment after treatment they will be able to get rid of the cancer or so they thought.... each time we thought that the cancer has been eradicated it came back more aggressively, and it had the chance of spreading so I was left with 2 options by the doctors
- Option 1 was to take pain killers and prescription drugs and live a comfortable life for 2- 5 years
- Option 2 was that I had to undergo a surgery but please keep in consideration that I was not on medical aid, so I was left with Government hospitals and government Doctors and at the moment of time South Africa health care isn't looking good at all
- I was told if I had pick Option 2 my chances of survival were very slim and that I would have very restricted diet, time passed and I finally came to a discission that I had to pick option 2 because I still have a young daughter and my Wife, her mother passed away 2 years prior. I am all she has left other than her 2 Brothers and I can't expect my sons who at that time was still studying to raise a little girl.
- I underwent the surgery and came out alive and well and lived a good life up until now, I am no longer able to work and I have depended on physical labor almost most of my life, I am unable to lift any heavy things and I am almost always fatigued due to not following my diet, my daughter is 17 at the time and next year is a big year for her. Graduation, Matric farewell and I hope to purchase her a Vehicle
- So, I Am here as a 64-year-old dad asking for your help in basic needs for me and for my daughter as my Pension savings isn't bringing us through anymore inflation has risen to a point where I am no longer able to afford most things nevertheless all the upcoming events for my daughter.
- we stay on a farm 50km away from the town she goes to school and fuel is starting to get very expensive. And my car isn't holding up well anymore, before everything goes to hell I hope that this fundraiser might buy me a couple of more years so I may see my daughter graduate and set out into a world a little prepared, I know there are many things worse happening in the world now and there are many people that would swap positions with me in an instant, but I have to at least take the chance and try one more thing for me and my daughter
- With the amount that I am asking for i would be able to purchase my daughter a small vehicle save some money for her graduation and we would survive with the leftover money and use it for Fuel, dietary supplements that I require I wish to start a small hatchery with chickens so i have no needs to purchase eggs in store anymore as eggs are my most important food source.
