Jake Smith hasn't added a story.
My name is Jacob and I like many of you grew up watching Ash's adventures through the regions with his friends as they all passionately chased after their dreams. To many of us, Ash was our childhood hero and all we wanted was for him to one day achieve his dream. We laughed with him, cheered whenever he won a hard fought battle, gritted out teeth as he suffered lost after lost, cried when he had to say goodbye to friends that we too had grown close to over the years, and in many ways Ash had grown up with us, but in others he hasn't because of reasons outside of his and our control (hence to forever 10 years old memes)
Whenever we had hope that Ash is about to take a HUGE step toward his goal and win a championship, they are suddenly dashed away in one way or another like losing because he was up against Pokemon from a region that he had never heard of before, or facing a team of Legendaries, or Pikachu losing to a Snivy or for him to finally redeeming himself by making it all the way to the Finals just for his Super Sized Water Shuriken to lose to a weakened and tired Charizard's Blast Burn and wind up back in school.
Long story short I was a major Pokefan throughout the years, but a part of me just lost the spark after realizing that Ash may never achieve any of the goals he had fought for due to executive meddling as the show was too popular to ever pull the plug and reward Ash or any of us who have loyally watched him over the years, but then I discovered something online, a comic that was created by an even bigger Pokefan than I ever was.
This is a story that takes place with Ash after a 5 year time skip, (that's right he is 15 years old in this story) following not just him, but many of his traveling companions and rivals ranging from the Episode 1 to Sun and Moon. (I can't even read the comic and I already feel it was worth sitting through Best Wishes.) There are call backs and references to every region, movies included, but is told where you can enjoy no matter what generation of fan you are, but the more you know your Pokemon, the more rewarding this comic is.
The World Champion League I believe is the same one that Cynthia hinted that Ash and Paul would one day get to enter back in Sinnoh. Like I said before, it's also not just about Ash because Akiko loves each Pokegirl like crazy and gives each plenty of focus (so that means Ash is most likely going to end up with a girl like the shippers always wanted)
- Each page will be $4
- Chapters range from 14-35 pages
- 52 chapters total (at the moment)
- Estimate of $4816 for the first half
- + any additional content pages up to a total of $5056
There are currently 52 chapters in this series and ongoing with a clear satisfying ending in sight, this seems like every Pokefan's dream, but here is the catch, IT IS ALL IN JAPANESE. I need to raise funds to translate these chapters, translations for a single chapter so far has ranged from $80 to $250. I found a freelancer willing to do each page for $4, but each chapter can range from 14 to 35 pages so the cost would be about $4816, but the series is ongoing so say there are 2 more 30 page chapters then it would be raised up to $5056 and tha means I should be able to afford a chapter translation after every $100. There are also a few bonus chapters in this that I would like to get translated as well because they look fun. I've already have been trying to independently fund these chapter translations, but I am just a poor college student with a part time job, there is no feasible way I alone can make all of this happen any time soon. I need your help, all funds will be used solely for translating these chapters. Any amount you give helps this project immensely and if we all band together we can help Ash to actually achieve his dream.
I'll post each chapter on my Deviantart account for the public to see. I'm asking for $5100 with a 2 chapter cushion, but $4800 should be about enough to translate the current amount already made. I assure you that I'll be making no money on this whatsoever the series from what I can tell is reaching it's final stages of a major battle plus there may be an epilogue. Here is a link to Akiko's home site where all of the current chapters are put up. https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?id=6232128&type=manga
My deviantart account that I will put up the chapters. (no precise release schedule has been decided atm) https://www.deviantart.com/yusuke96
