Elizabeth Pettersson hasn't added a story.
Please help Erik immigrate and show his film.
Once upon a time there was a Prince of a man
that lived in a little village in Sweden...
His name name was
Erik. Erik lived by the woods, he loved the earth, the trees and
animals. When he grew up he got a camera and started photographing the
beautiful things around him. Erik even got a chance to make some
movies. He was a brilliant writer and ohhhh...the things he captured
with his camera! Light and shadow danced for him and mist and form
emerged to create the most marvelous things! But Erik was a shy and
silent man and he didn't know his own gift, all he knew was that he
felt compelled to capture the beauty around him and he
continued.
One day Erik met a girl and his heart leaped with
joy at the sound of her voice! They talked...then talked some more.
This went on for two moons and he came to love the girl. She loved
people and she too loved the earth, she loved him and the breathtaking
images he captured. Erik wanted nothing more than to be by her side.
But you see, she lived across an ocean and a continent, across plains
and mountains; much farther than Erik had ever traveled before. So
Erik set to work selling what he could to prepare for the journey. He
arrived after three more moons. Erik said to the girl (who,
incidentally was named Elizabeth) that he loved her and wanted to
always be with her but that he was afraid he was too poor, how could
he make her his wife? "I don't have enough money to stay
here", "I don't have enough money to take care of you",
"I don't have the money to give your people so that they will
allow me to stay in this land!" said Erik.
He saw no way
to stay. The girl said that love would win, that they must wed and
love would find a way... that they must hold fast to each other...
bind themselves together and then everyone would see! Hearts would
open, because true love is too rare and everyone would come together
in the name of love. Erik wasn't sure but he decided that at least
Elizabeth was right about one thing. No matter what happened they
could wed, then at least if an ocean and a continent separated them
they would still always and forever belong to one another. So they
wed. They lived in a tiny apartment together with Trixi (the best Lady
alive), and ate oatmeal for breakfast every morning and lived their
lean little life while holding each others hands, always looking for a
way... knowing they had to find a way. One day Elizabeth woke up and
said "We must show your film! Then the people will see what
beauty you bring into the world and they will embrace you and they
will help with a nickle, or a dime, or by telling our tale and
eventually we will have enough nickles and dimes to give to the
government so that they will let you stay! Maybe someone will even be
willing to sponsor you - tell the government they BELIEVE in you -
then maybe the government will let you stay! But how can we show your
film? Even that costs money and we don't even have enough money for
food? I will tell everyone I can our story and then we will together,
one and all rent the theater where we will show the film! People will
SEE, people will HELP, and we will fill the people with joy and love
all sharing together what we can. We have our story and the film and
your photographs... then... if we raise enough money and get the
government to let you stay we will help others in others ways too...
Ahhhh... that would be a dream come true!"
