I am the Chairperson and Founder of this Non-profit based in rural Kenya. I am a cancer survivor living with multiple myeloma. I had Bone marrow transplant in India on March 2023 after long struggle with sickness since 2016. My long struggle with cancer has exposed me to many challenges that cancer patients from poor backgrounds go through especially lack of basic needs, stigmatization and discrimination.

 This foundation is registered by Kenya government under Certificate number NGO-K9FM53 to operate in Kenya. The main aim is to promote access to healthcare access for needy and most vulnerable cancer patients in rural areas and slums in Kenya. Our focus is poor cancer patients and vulnerable children orphaned by cancer. These are the most affected by the ravage of cancer in developing countries like Kenya. From my experience and daily encounter with many patients, the problem is complicated by the fact that most of these cancer patients have other health conditions like HIV/AIDS. The devastation of cancer and its impact on poor families is very big especially to these patients from vulnerable and marginal backgrounds who can barely afford a basic meal let alone treatment and chemotherapy. Cancer has robbed poor families their meager incomes leaving them in abject poverty. Although I am the vision carrier we have brought on board a team of experts to ensure professional management of donor funds and successful implementation of our programs.

If we are supported with funds, this foundation will make a complete change to the health and living conditions of poor and vulnerable cancer patients in rural areas and slums..

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

1. To pay insurance coverage for poor and needy uninsured cancer patients .
2. To provide support to children orphaned by cancer, to pay school fees to them.
3. To pay out of pocket living expenses for needy cancer patients to help them to cater for basic things like food, nutritional supplements, utility bills, rent and shelter
4. To mobilize resources for medical bill tops for high-cost, diagnosis, medicines radiotherapy and surgical procedures for needy cancer patients.
5. To engage in public advocacy and awareness campaign to promote screening and diagnosis for cancer prevention.
6. To establish a supportive and palliative care centre for the most needy cancer patients in Kenya
