Hello like-minded people,

I am reaching out to you with a request for help. We are from Lithuania. In 2017 September 14th, a blood vessel ruptured in my daughter's spinal cord (congenital aneurysm), this caused edema. The doctors at Siauliu hospital were unable to diagnose and kept her without treatment for 4 days. I demanded that we were transferred to the Kaunas clinics and there they were able to diagnose her after an MRI scan. Neurosurgeon Matukevičius performed a particularly complicated operation. In his words, only one or two such operations are performed at the clinics in a year. After 5 difficult days in intensive care unit
we've been transferred to the recovery ward. My daughter had no control over her limbs or bowel movement. She just could breathe and eat. What awaits us is a long, unpredictable process. How long and how successful it will be, we don't know. We hope for the best. My daughter is needed full-time care. Because of that I can't work.
Update- today in 2019 my daughter cab control hands ,right one better then left. She was a talented painter(digital painting). She would like to walk again and pursue her dream to study at University after high school. At the momen she still can't walk, can't control urine and bowel movements. Depression diagnosed. To achieve best progress  we need intensive non stop rehabilitation. In my country it is compensated 21 day. Then you go to private clinics of you have money. That's big money. From 2000 euro and more.
