CanAm United Women's Cricket Team is an initiative to give women from North America opportunities to play cricket in the Americas. We Are currently raising $12,000 for our trip to Argentina in March 2015. 

In the wake of the ICC's decsion to cancel the Americas qualifier tournament and essentially shutting women out of international competion, CanAm United was created to offer players the opportunity to play competitive cricket in other countries.  

The team is driven entirely by players, volunteers, supporters and sponsors and is not aligned with any national or subnational organization making it unique in the world of women's cricket in the Americas.

Recently CanAm finished 2nd overall in its first ever tournament! Despite never having a practiced or even playing a game as a team CanAm players worked together to secure a fantastic second place finish against at the 4th Annual Atlanta Women's T20 Tournament in Atlanta Georgia this past May

Can Am gives players the freedom to play and grow the sport of cricket in the Americas all the while relying on teamwork and the generosity of our sponsors to make it happen. 

Can Am United is embarking on its most ambitious tour to date! The team is making preparations to visit Argentina in March 13th – 22nd, 2015 to play the Flamingo's and others in a 4 team tournament that includes T20 and 40 over games. The International Cricket Tournament to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from March 13th to March 22nd 2015 and will feature the Argentine National Side along with another three international teams, playing a total of five fixtures.

With the international scenario as it stands it is vital that women in the region get the most competition they can, and this is a great opportunity.
