Caroline Chevrier hasn't added a story.
MiaMia is a cat belonging to the TNRM (Trap-Neutre-Release-Maintain) program, which is operated by the SPCA and volunteers. He must have had a home when he was younger because he’s very friendly. However, he was abandoned in an alley by the humans he used to live with, who didn’t get him sterilize.
Fortunately, a cat rescue volunteer found him, caught him, and got him sterilized through the SPCA’s TNRM program. He hung out for a while longer in our alley and then, one beautiful day, he decided to adopt us. He is now very affectionate with humans and he still maintains his status as “king of the alley cats.” Until recently, he was in perfect health.
This past June, MiaMia started to have trouble with his right eye. We thought the eye drops We’ve been giving him every day would resolve the troubles with his eye, which include glaucoma (pressure in the eye), uveitis (inflammation in the eye), and an eye ulcer. Unfortunately, despite his exemplary cooperation when receiving treatment, all our gladly-offered efforts, and several follow-up vet visits, his eye is now in a very bad condition. According to the ophthalmologist, there are only two options: (1) remove his eye as quickly as possible to stop him from suffering or (2) euthanasia.
The vets say he can continue to live a happy, safe, and pain-free life for several more years with only one eye – and this is what MiaMia deserves.
Please help us heal MiaMia. He’s a wonderful cat who never asked to be abandoned in an alley. He finally found a home again, including a safe house and yard, as well as humans who adore him (Caroline & Sébastien), but who now don’t have the financial means to continue to pay the vet bills for his eye to be removed.
We and MiaMia would be eternally grateful for all donations offered. We (me, my conjoint, and the cat rescue volunteer) will paiy the remainder of the vet bill.
Thank you for helping him!
