We are starting an English language school in an apartment where newly arriving refugees in Memphis are resettled. Your tax deductible donation will help us get everything from internet and utilities to desks and chairs.

English language is the door to everything for a refugee—education, jobs, acculturation, community. The biggest challenge for refugees learning English is transportation. So, we are starting an ESL school run by professional, certified teachers in the community where refugees live.

We are a local non-profit organization that gives professional English language classes for free to refugees who are resettled in Memphis, Tennessee. The refugee population we serve live mostly in one apartment complex where we recently acquired a two-bedroom apartment to convert into a English language school.

Right now we are raising money to get everything we need to get our school up and running.

Our expenses are divided into two categories. First, we are raising funds for a year of monthly bills such as internet, insurance, and utilities. Second, we need funds for one time purchases such as a combination deadbolt for the front door, white board paint for the walls, light bulbs, textbooks, office supplies, chairs, tables, cleaning materials, and kitchen items.

By contributing to this cause, you are helping us launch a safe place for refugees to come throughout the week to have access to quality ESL teachers and programs.
