2022 Saraswati Seva Project update
Om swastiastu to all of our SS supporters -
2022 has been quite a busy year so we're updating you on what's been happening with the project so far . . . .
O
ne of the BIGGEST moments of our 2022 was celebrating the
first-ever, public NeuroSomatic Flow
Class taught by a local Balinese woman, also the 1st recipient
of the Saraswati Seva Scholarship program, Yuli Krisni.
What was most amazing went beyond the class . . . . it was what
was made possible through this work, for one woman’s life, which I
share in the video below. And it was made possible by generous souls
from all over the world contributing to the Saraswati Seva Project -
we can’t thank you enough.
I’ve been looking forward to sharing this for awhile. It’s a
big, beautiful, story, so get cozy and take the next 10-15 min to
soak in some of the beauty and inspiration in the videos below.
Brief backstory - when we moved to Bali in January 2018, we were
shown immediately that part of our purpose here was to help Balinese
women (who live in a patriarchal society) to be empowered to have
more control in as many aspects of their lives as possible.
We knew we couldn’t change the rules (it’s not our place to do so).
Over time we asked a lot of questions and learned what would be
the most helpful are two things -
education and safe spaces to get emotional & mental support.
It didn’t take long before the Saraswati Seva Project was born.
Though her training with us, Yuli has started her own path as a
leader, space holder, and coach for her fellow women of Bali.
We couldn’t be more proud and honored to partner with her in
having countless more Balinese women being supported, honored, and celebrated.
We have also been incredibly humbled with all the wisdom,
courage, and insights Yuli has inspired in our lives, and for NaiAsa Institute.
-----
The 1st video highlight is of Yuli leading a NSF class is a requirement for graduation of the NST Teacher Training, and she was able to do this in both Indonesian and English.
The 2nd video (with her daughter, Kean) is doing her "Soul Expression", another requirement for her to be a certified, NSF Facilitator.
Yuli will soon take what she's learned from these programs into her Balinese community to help more women experience a new way of thinking and being that they've never had available.
We, speaking for the women and children who'll benefit from this project, thank our contributors for their donations!
