✴️ Two Dads. One Son. Everything Taken.
We are a family. Two fathers. One six-year-old boy.
We lived
quietly. We raised our son with love, creativity, and joy.
We
wrote. We published. We built a home on an island that promised freedom.
And then — in May 2025 — it was all gone.
🚨 The Morning Everything Changed
Immigration officers stormed our apartment.
They had no proper
warrant.
They tore through drawers, flipped beds, and confiscated
our equipment — including our son’s school laptop.
They handcuffed us.
They took our six-year-old boy,
screaming.
They ignored his birth certificate, which lists one of
us — his father — as his only legal parent.
“Where is the mother?” they kept asking.
But we are the parents. We always were.
We were held for 44 days in a prison infamous for abuse — without a fair hearing, without due process, without any contact with our son.
💔 What We're Facing Now
-
We are still on trial
-
Our passports were taken
-
We cannot access our accounts or platforms
-
Our professional tools — Mac Studios, iPhones, cameras — were seized without record
-
Our son is deeply traumatized. He cries when we leave the room
We are still here. But we are not yet safe.
🧱 What We Lost
-
2× Apple Mac Studios — our life’s work was on them
-
2 unpublished book manuscripts
-
1 Nikon DSLR + lens kit
-
1 Panasonic 4K camera
-
Additional Nikon, Minolta and Canon gear
-
3 iPhones, 2 iPads
-
1 Chromebook — David’s only device for school
-
1 full suite of editing, authoring & film tools
No inventory. No explanation. No return.
We can’t write.
We can’t publish.
We can’t defend ourselves
in court.
👉 Your support helps us rebuild what was stolen — so we can work again, reclaim our voice, and fight back.
💡 Why This Campaign Exists
We are not just trying to survive. We are fighting to restore our
rights, protect our child, and hold those responsible
accountable.
This case is not isolated. It exposes a
dangerous pattern — of homophobia, abuse of power, and
impunity in the Caribbean justice system.
But we cannot do this alone.
🧡 Phase 1: What Your Help Makes Possible (18,000 USD)
This is the first and most urgent phase of our journey to rebuild, protect our son, and expose what happened:
✅ Legal defense to stop deportation and restore custody
✅
Replace critical work tools to publish, document, and earn
income
✅ Cover child trauma support and basic family needs
✅
Reconnect with our platforms — so we can speak, write, and
resist
✅ Keep our story alive through RevealThem.org
✍️ From our son:
“I may be little, but I love you BIG.”
This hand-painted card — the only sign of him during our detention — is our reason to keep fighting.
We are still together. But we need help to stay that way.
📵 Why we are not speaking more – yet.
Some of you may wonder: Why haven’t we gone public with media? Why aren’t we more visible?
The truth is: We are still legally
restricted.
Our movements, our speech, and our digital
access are tightly monitored. NGO advisors have urged us to remain
cautious — because speaking out too early could endanger our safety,
our child, and our legal case.
But silence should never be permanent.
That’s why we’re working
on a book — to make the truth unerasable, and to expose what others
want buried.
States that rely on corruption, homophobia, and lawlessness must not continue to receive international support — until they uphold the basic rights of families like ours.
👥 You Make the Difference
When you give, you do more than help us.
You become part of
something bigger:
-
You protect a child from being taken again
-
You defend LGBTQ+ families who are silenced and targeted
-
You help expose injustice where it hides
-
You help us write — not just our story, but the record that must be heard
You are the reason our son still has both his fathers.
You are the reason this story will not be buried.
