Hello friends,

As many of you know, I am a founding member of the Toronto Sisters of JOY an Official Mission of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence™. We are a world-wide leading edge order of queer nuns of all genders, sexualities, and spiritualties who take vows to promulgate universal joy and expiate stigmatic guilt. We have devoted ourselves to volunteer community service, ministry and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment. We believe all people have a right to express their unique joy and beauty and we use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit. It's an amazing group of people that blend satire, social activism, laughter, charity work, fundraising and street theatre together while blurring gender lines and drawing attention to inequalities and stigma that haunt so many.

Out of the blue I was given the great honor of being asked to join some of my other Sisters from well-established American houses that are attending RuPaul's Drag Con on May 7-8 in Los Angeles. RuPaul’s DragCon is wildly successful convention for drag queens that was founded last year and proved to be an instant hit. The Sisters did a popular panel with a Q&A and makeup demo to spread education about our order, works and methods. We are a unique take on drag to be sure! I would be included in this year's panel this year as well as manning an information table for the order joining some of the most prolific Sisters in our order. The chance to simply meet these nuns is jaw-dropping for me, but to be included in this way and to witness DragCon is strikes me right to my core. I am beyond thrilled to have this chance.

Though I will be acting as an ambassador for the Toronto Mission (and Canadian Sisters come to that) all expenses must be paid for by myself. The Sisters are a volunteer organization that proudly puts 100% of the money they raise back into the community, so the Toronto Sisters cannot help fundraise - this makes funding my journey tricky. I need a lot of help in a very short period of time to help cover airfare, travel, food and expenses for the weekend - but this is for myself and my journey - not charity work or community fundrasiing for the Sisters. I have decided to take a leap of faith, open my need up to the universe and ask my own friends and family for help in reaching my goal. So please help any way you can to allow me to attend this amazing event. Anything at all you can contribute would be very much appreciated. This opportunity means the world to me.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
