In one of the small villages in the Volta Region of Ghana, (Tsiavemi) only have the dam to use for their water, this dam is used to wash, bath, drink, clean and sanitize; this dam is also use by the animals in the area.
The water is dirty, and sometimes it has a bad smell; this situation is an extremely bad health hazard for all concerned. Right now we are focusing on the school, which has children from the primary to Jr. High levels.
We are seeking to get a bore hole drilled, and put in a pumping system, to pump the water in a poly tank, then we will put in standpipes so the children can have easy access to clean potable water.
We are seeking help from all concerned persons, who is willing and have the heart to not just talk but allow their words to have some action. There is no amount that is too small or too large.
We are working through our youth group, Youth In Action, as one of their goals is to reach out, and help those in need. As donors we will create a donor board, to say thank you, and let others know your good deeds.
