We are the Wests. In February of 2018, we found out that we were expecting spontaneous triplets, essentially doubling our family size overnight (we already had a 2 year old at the time). Our triplets were born at 30 weeks and we spent 2 months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama. We quickly found that there aren’t a lot of resources for families with higher order multiples (3+) or for navigating the world of NICU life. We had to do a lot of research on our own and would like to provide resources to other NICU parents and parents of multiples.

In the state of Alabama, 12 percent of babies are born preterm. There are also several circumstances that require a full-term baby spending time in the NICU as well. There is an extreme lack of support, emotional and financial, for parents with children in the NICU. Other than some of the nurses, who are amazing angels themselves, resources were pretty much non-existent. It has been a goal of mine since we were discharged to figure out a way to support parents during this arduous journey.

With donations, we can provide these parents with care packages to include things like NICU progress journals, NICU-specific milestone cards, holiday-specific gifts (like Mother's Day and Father's Day cards), cafeteria vouchers, educational materials and anything else we determine to be beneficial and supportive in the future. 100% of the money received will go directly to this type of support, aside from any applicable processing fees.
