The Water 💧 Drop: Gray Water Recycling System is designed to do just

By purifying all the gray water you use in your home from
your shower, kitchen and bathroom sinks and then storing it for later
use The Water 💧 Drop saves approximately 37% of water consumption
without changing your water usage.
We have completed an initial prototype of the system and tested
it for several weeks and now it’s time to build prototype 2. (See
Video) Our goal is to create a larger filtration system, integrate a
kitchen sink and bathtub, and fix some of the design flaws in
Prototype 2.

The Water Drop: Gray Water Recycling System will utilize Ecovative Mycelium Spawn to create our filitration/storage tank and shower basin. After the mycelium has spread through the substrate within the form the final product will be removed, hardened with lime and concrete, and sealed with an eco-friendly resin. As the former head of production at the Urban Mushroom I am very familiar with the life cycle of mycelium.
By creating with mycelium The Water Drop will be an eco-friendly plastic-free product.

You might be wondering “how do I grow a system like The Water 💧 Drop?” By using techniques developed by Ecovative, the filtration/storage tank and shower basin will be grown by adding mushroom mycelium to a wood chip substrate in a form. Once the mycelium has spread through the substrate the finished product will be removed from the form hardened with lime and concrete and sealed with a eco-friendly resin. These instructions will include details for growing and assembling your own system at home. They will be made available once Prototype 2 has been built and has gone through 6 weeks of testing both the functioning of the system and the water it produces over time. Estimated delivery of plans is 8/15/22
Drop a $250 down payment on a $500 custom-built off-grid shower basin. Once the shower basin is ready to ship we'll contact you for the final payment. At that time you can choose to upgrade to a full shower system with all plumbing included. The finished product will allow you to take a 20-minute shower on just 5 gallons of water.
