Hello, I’m Tânia Piffer, a Brazilian musician, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, though the accordion is my greatest passion. Music has always been part of my life. For over 20 years, I have been creating and re-creating songs, which I’ve discovered travel the world through simple recordings, something I find amazing, but I have always dreamed of recording them with the arrangements I’ve envisioned.

The time has come to turn this long-held dream into reality: recording my first album. This project is the culmination of years of music, dedication, and love for sound, a work that brings together inspiration and everything music represents in my life. Every song is a prayer, every melody is a meeting with my own stories and with those who connect to what I create.

In this work, I have the joy of collaborating creatively with two extraordinary musicians: guitarist and producer Guilherme Held, known for his musical sensitivity and richness in arrangements, and Maurício Maas, musician, arts educator, percussionist, stage and musical director, member of Barbatuques, and researcher of rhythms and the musicality of the body. We are also joined by many other remarkable artists, including Ricardo Marcondes, Gabriel Moreira, Dan Sonora, and more, each bringing their unique energy to the project. Together, we are shaping depth and meaning into this project.

This album is a sonic offering to the spiritual forces of our ancestral Brazil.
It is song for caboclos, mothers of the waters, arrow-wielding spirits, the enchantments of Erês, Zés, and Boiadeiros (cowherds). Music that crosses time and evokes memories that live within us, internal landscapes of a profound, sacred, and boundless Brazil.

The aim is to recover the simplicity of spontaneous popular expressions, where a shout is also a song, and a prayer is a call, like the aboios that guide the herds.

The instrumentation blends the rustic sounds of the jongo drums, terreiro rhythms, and popular festival music, the serenading accordions and reisado, with the modern force of guitar, double bass, winds, and brass.

Each track is a musical ritual, where interpretation is surrender and sound is the path. The album invites deep listening, for the body and the spirit. It is presence, enchantment, and reverence for the living forms that accompany us.

Tânia Piffer is a singer, multi-instrumentalist who, for over 20 years, has dedicated herself to playing and singing for spiritual forces in terreiros and other spaces of spiritual connection.
With the curious spirit of a girl enchanted by sounds, she transforms every encounter into a sacred play, where music becomes both language and ritual.

Her work is intuitive and profound: she uses instruments as tools for healing and listening, awakening what needs to rise and calming what asks for rest.
Her music is prayer, presence, and sonic medicine.
