Steve has spent years as the familiar face behind the bar, a continued presence in our family, and the loyal friend you can count on for a laugh or a helping hand. Whether he’s acting as a devoted son, brother, uncle, or father, his role has always been to support those around him. However, since early November, Steve has been facing his toughest challenge yet: a diagnosis of head and neck cancer. Currently in his seventh week of an incredibly grueling chemotherapy and radiation regimen, Steve is fighting with a competitive spirit that inspires everyone around him.
Although he will never admit it, because Steve has been unable to work during this time, the financial weight of medical bills and daily expenses has added an unnecessary burden to his journey during an already difficult time. We are coming together as a community to ensure Steve can focus entirely on his recovery and beating this curable disease. We are deeply grateful for the community of friends, coworkers, and loved ones coming together to help a man who has meant so much to all of us.
Please join us on April 19th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Snow’s Lakeside Tavern for an afternoon dedicated to supporting Steve’s fight. We’ll have the Cincinnati Reds game on the screens and live classic rock and country acoustic music from local favorite musicians between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. It’s going to be a great day of community spirit featuring basket raffles, a split-the-pot, and a “Wagon of Cheer” raffle. Whether you come to enjoy the music, grab a drink, or participate in the raffles, your presence and donations mean the world to Steve and our entire family. Raffle tickets for these can now be purchased in advance online. Before purchasing, please expand the description and read the chart at the bottom, so you can maximize your bonus tickets at each dollar level. Online ticket purchases will close on Saturday (4/18) at 5pm.
Of course, you’ll be able to purchases raffle tickets in person at Snow’s Lakeside Tavern on 4/19 as well!
