Hello, We are community based organization in Uganda, Africa called Malaika for Hope( Angels for Hope) fund-raising to get shoes for the 210 children in two primary rural schools in our community found in Namutumba district in Uganda and the schools are; Budunda and Kasodo primary schools, to help them fulfill their educational dream. kindly read on and sponsor a child so as to make a difference in these children’s lives through giving or sharing to this cause.

As the rest of the world celebrated the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019. A community-based organization called Malaika for Hope(translated as Angels for hope) together with a group of volunteers are sharing the Christmas by offering presents to children under the age of 14 years who have never gotten any Christmas present in their whole lives in Uganda, Africa. These blessings cost 5usds and below and were raised through the individuals and volunteers savings and gifts collected through the whole year of 2018 yet the outrageous destitution in the local community called Namutumba District, Busoga sub-area which is the third poorest region(according to statistics from Uganda's statistical body,https://www.ubos.org/  ) in an underdeveloped nation, Uganda is conveying tears to the individuals distributing the presents with the greatest challenge coming up confronting these youngsters being the absence of good school shoes to enable them to remain and complete their school accordingly thus failing to fulfill their educational dream

On school days, these young souls below the age of 14 years just filled with purpose and sacrifice walk a sum of 30km to and from their homes to school on a hilly bumpy, murram and loathsome road filled up with pot-holes and sharp items yet this is done on uncovered feet with no cover on their feet and these roads end up impassable amid the rainy season which is two seasons in the remote area(February-June and again from August to end of year) with a few youngsters stalling out in the mud in fact there was a case reported to the local area police where a child of 8 years stalled out in the mud when returning from school and was cleared by the downpours till the swampy stream in the community where his body was discovered dead. The Jiggers issue in the Busoga sub-region which has been reported by every single leading newspaper in the nation like Uganda's new vision, daily monitor among others are partial because of the absence of shoes among the school children yet Jiggers shouldn't be something somebody experiences in the 21st century.

The impacts of no good shoes on the feet of this little ones has lead to high school drop-out in spite of the government’s endeavors of giving free essential primary education, school absenteeism, particularly amid the rainy season which is the majority time, high school failure rates, conflicts in the family, tetanus and jiggers challenges yet the closest public hospital, isn’t well stocked to handle such issues, death among other devastating consequences on the poverty-ridden community of Namutumba district in Uganda, Africa.

The empty bare feet of many of these children walk each day with their future unknown and uncertain but their hope and determination so solid, deep and important that they have chosen to risk it all to get an education. We couldn't quit thinking about these young souls on route once more from the field whose little-uncovered feet persevered through consistently in spite of the difficulties
