I recently lost my camera on a Metro North train and after a month of checking with Lost & Found, I have confirmed that it was stolen. A stupid, mindless mistake cost me my only digital camera.

I am asking for community to help me replace my camera and lens. I ache over this loss. Though it is just an object, it's an expensive one, and I need support recovering this tool that allows me to pursue my creative medium. If you know me, you know that I rarely ask for help -- perhaps to a fault -- but in this moment I am in need. The funds raised here covers about half of the equipment I lost: my Fujifilm camera and lens.

Photography has been my medium of storytelling and documenting the political and social movements in NYC. From the early Black Lives Matters protests to George Floyd uprisings, the solidarity actions of Puerto Rican independence and ending the genocide of Palestine, I have contributed my photography in a small way to the movement over the last decade. I want to continue documenting the the communities who are the backbone of society, the ones fighting back against an increasingly barbaric government, and the rich cultural fabric that makes New York the city that it is.
