Hi, my name is Gerald L. Coleman. I’m a science fiction & fantasy author and poet. My educational background is in philosophy, english, and religious studies ending in a Master’s in theology. Along with being a full time writer, I’ve been a guest author at science fiction and fantasy conventions, a guest author/poet/lecturer at universities and colleges, and my work has appeared in anthologies, journals, magazines, and other publications.
I’ve also had the pleasure of serving as a sensitivity reader for writers on novels, short stories, and even done some sensitivity work on a script for a comic book film (which I can’t discuss (-;).
This workshop is going to be a one night event held on Zoom. My hope is to help you understand sensitivity reading and give you some help on your WIP.
Why am I doing this workshop? I’m a working, full time writer and at the moment my car needs some expensive attention in the shop.
I also know this is a much needed area of attention for writers who are trying to create inclusive stories and who want to get it right. I hope you’ll join me for this workshop.
The workshop will take place via Zoom on Sunday December 7th at 5 pm EST.
