Help Me Swap Seizure Bus Roulette for a Neurospicy-Friendly E-Bike (and Maybe Save Jack From Becoming an Uber Driver)

Setting The Scene

Mid‑seizure and stranded, I was once mugged on a three‑transfer bus route. I’m Rev Casey, a disabled TTRPG chaos gremlin with epilepsy and PTSD, and I can’t drive. I need an e‑bike to turn this daily gamble into safe passage.

I’ve been playing Public Transit Survival Mode for years, a game where the final boss is “Will I make it home before my neurons yeet me into a sidewalk nap?” Spoiler alert: I've lost a few rounds.

I've attempted to apply to veterans' and disability assistance programs. Unfortunately, I didn't meet the strict requirements for any of them. This gear isn’t just freedom and protection! It’s my shield of spite against a system that said I wasn’t 'poor enough' and ‘disabled enough’ for help.

The Quest

Objective: Unlock the E-Bike of Safe Travel (+ armor-plated “Anti-Seizure Battle Gear”) to:

• 🚴 Fast-travel home when auras or PTSD hit (no more praying the bus driver ignores my “confused NPC” dialogue or straight falling and hitting the sidewalk).

• ⚡ Enhance movement with pedal assist (muscle spasms can impose a movement penalty).

• 🚨 Add armor and charms, like a full helmet and safety lighting, to keep me safe during my side quests and map exploration. The helmet? Think ‘+5 AC vs. sidewalk faceplants.’ The lights? ‘Illuminate’ spell, always active.

• 🎲 Boost creativity stats  by increasing my peer support access and freeing up that Uber money.

• 😋 Win the grocery mission saving me trips, travel risks, and costs by allowing me to fill cargo bags and zoom.

Overfunding: Any surplus over the final bike and gear cost will go to other TTRPG community and Helpsky/Bluesky mutual aid requests.

Heartfelt Mode: Activate

Right now, getting to some appointments costs me $60-80 in Ubers (that's groceries or a missed med) or4 hours of bus stress (which could have been spent writing a mini-game about gay space orcs).

Every week without a bike = 2-3 missed peer support meetups on top of the transit + Uber costs; please don't let my neurons isolate me. Get me the bike and gear and:

• I’ll attend peer-support TTRPG meetups (and other peer support and health events) without budgeting or planning like I’m prepping for a dungeon crawl.

• I'll generally have much more freedom and personal safety, which will be good for my productivity and also free up some time.

• Less stumbling through the door in severe post-seizure confusion (especially important now that I lost my feline companion Jack).

• And I’ll finally design and play games without the guilt of “Wait, will I have enough Uber money if I buy this game or pay this subscription? Will I have enough for meds and groceries if I keep this appointment and take the Uber?”

Imagine rolling past dark alleyways confidently, arriving at peer‑support meetups on time, and spending my mental energy crafting new TTRPG goodies instead of worrying about getting home. That's my dream!

Stretch Goals

This is a big ask overall, so I want to be sure to return something to the community. 

• Every $250 raised: At $250 intervals, we unlock new mini‑games to share with the entire community. Each extra dollar powers both my safety and our creative collaborations!
• Fully funded: Unlock the development and release of a brand new full TTRPG. If we achieve my big goal, I want to deliver a big gift in return to the gaming community (and loop in my donors with early backer access)! 
• Fully funded BONUS: I will post a picture in the full battle gear! And I also take a night picture of the bike with all the lights on. (Trust, this bike’s steady LED lights will ensure I glow brighter than a wizard’s Light spell at night.)

The Fine Print

• No deadlines:  This isn’t a Kickstarter. It’s a “Help Rev Stop Yeeting Their Dignity on Public Transit”  fund. (Seriously, auras and confusion in public is embarrassing and risky.)

• Transparency:  Every penny goes to the bike, armor-grade gear (to get that bonus against damage when seizures or accidents strike), and safety lights brighter than a dragon’s hoard.

• Delivery: Please understand that if this is fully funded, that will be 5 mini-games + 1 full game. On top of the time to write and format, there will be a window for each one to suggest and vote on themes, then a window to pick a concept, and then a fresh game will be written and tested from scratch. I’ll prioritize these games like my trauma brain’s a boss fight: fiercely, but sometimes I may need a healing potion break.

Closing Notes

There was previously a cute "note from Jack" here. He lived to be nearly 22, but his time came. He was a wonderful boy and I'm leaving his picture here in memory.
