Hi! My name is Ihor. I’m a Ukrainian refugee currently living in Bulgaria. Like millions of Ukrainians, I’ve had to build my life away from home while Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine continues into its fifth year.
I’m helping my friend Pavlo, who stays in Ukraine, bring his initiative to life: Print the Victory — a 3D printing farm dedicated to supporting Ukrainian defenders, medics, and volunteer initiatives.
Due to platform restrictions affecting Ukraine and limitations in the available payment options, Pavlo cannot set up this campaign directly under his own name. That’s why I’m helping him organize the fundraiser and receive contributions on his behalf.
The project itself is Pavlo’s initiative, and the story below is told from his perspective. He will lead the project in Ukraine, oversee its implementation, and provide regular updates on its progress, funding, and purchases.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about this initiative and for considering supporting it.
Important Note on Larger Contributions
We strongly advise against sending large donations through PayPal.
A high volume of incoming payments may trigger account
restrictions, and funds could become inaccessible for up to 180 days.
If you are considering making a substantial contribution,
please use one of the alternative donation methods listed below,
such as a direct bank transfer.
This will help us reduce the risk of payment disruptions and
keep the project moving forward.
Our Story
Hi everyone! My name is Pavlo Zhosin, and I am an IT designer from Odesa, Ukraine.
Due to the war, my colleague and I have had to change our professional paths. As a result, we can no longer contribute financially to our armed forces at the same level we have maintained for over four years. However, we have another valuable resource: our time, professional skills and experience. We want to dedicate them to supporting Ukraine’s Defense Forces, medical initiatives and volunteer organizations.
I have experience in technical 3D modeling, and my colleague is a 3D printing specialist. Today, Ukrainian defenders, medical teams and volunteers need a wide variety of physical components and custom-made parts. We have the skills to design and manufacture them, but we lack the industrial-grade equipment needed to turn these skills into a reliable, scalable production capability.
Why We Need Your Support
We are raising funds to launch a high-tech 3D printing farm. Below, you will find a detailed and transparent budget covering the equipment we need to get started, including advanced Bambu Lab printers capable of working with a range of engineering-grade materials, as well as an initial stock of spare parts and a backup power system.
Our goal is to establish a local production facility that can respond to practical needs quickly, manufacture components on demand and support existing volunteer initiatives.
What We Will Manufacture
Our 3D printing farm will produce practical, custom-made components for Ukrainian defenders, medical initiatives and volunteer organizations. Depending on the needs we receive, this may include replacement parts, equipment enclosures, mounting solutions, organizers, adapters, fixtures and other functional items that are difficult to source, expensive to purchase or need to be made quickly.
This will include enclosures and components for drone detection devices, as well as mounting solutions for installing Starlink terminals on vehicles and structures.
By combining technical design with in-house manufacturing, we aim to turn real-world needs into practical solutions — efficiently, locally and with minimal waste. The specific items we produce will be determined by requests from the organizations we support.
Our Sustainability Plan
We want this project to remain viable long after the initial fundraising campaign ends.
First, we already have a suitable workspace. The premises are fully prepared to accommodate the farm. We do not need to pay rent or invest in preparing a new facility. Apart from routine cleaning and installing the backup power system, the space is ready for us to bring in the equipment and begin operations.
Second, we plan to join existing initiatives that provide free filament to participating teams fulfilling requests from supported organizations. This will help us reduce material costs and direct more of our resources toward producing the components that are needed. We will also explore additional opportunities to receive donated filament as the project develops.
Finally, we plan to accept a limited number of commercial orders. This income will help cover ongoing expenses such as technical maintenance, spare parts and materials that are not available through donation programs. Our intention is to make the farm increasingly self-sufficient without relying on continuous fundraising.
Equipment and Pricing
After carefully researching the market, we chose Bambu Lab equipment because of its reputation for ease of operation and maintenance, combined with consistently high print quality. This is particularly important for a small team that needs to focus on fulfilling requests rather than spending excessive time maintaining its equipment.
Different tasks require different printer capabilities. Our planned configuration combines several machines for efficient batch production with specialized equipment for complex, precision and large-format projects.
All prices below are estimates based on the Ukrainian market, with approximate conversions into EUR, USD and GBP using Google Finance exchange rates.
We have chosen to purchase equipment locally in Ukraine to avoid potential international shipping complications, customs duties and additional import costs that could further increase the total budget. Purchasing locally also gives us access to the manufacturer’s local warranty and straightforward after-sales service and technical support within Ukraine. Unfortunately, prices on the Ukrainian market are considerably higher than those in the EU, UK and US. Nevertheless, purchasing locally should make the process more straightforward and help us get the farm operational sooner.
1. Bambu Lab A1 — 4 units
![]() |
Unit price: approximately €330 ($370 / £275) The A1 printers will handle the mass production of small, relatively simple components, primarily using PETG and, where appropriate, PLA. Having four dedicated machines will allow us to produce batches of parts efficiently while keeping more specialized printers available for tasks that require different materials or capabilities. |
2. Bambu Lab P2S Combo — 4 units
![]() |
Unit price: approximately €865 ($970 / £725) For more complex components and projects involving specialized engineering plastics, we selected the P2S Combo with the AMS 2 Pro material management system. These printers will expand our material options and allow us to handle a broader range of technical requirements. Four units will provide substantial production capacity while giving us flexibility to work on multiple requests simultaneously. |
3. Bambu Lab X2D Combo — 1 unit
![]() | Price: approximately €1,035 ($1,155 / £865) For precision work, complex individual components and prototypes, we selected the X2D Combo. This machine will complement our batch-production printers by allowing us to focus on specialized parts and projects where precision and the ability to accommodate more demanding designs are particularly important. |
4. Bambu Lab H2D Combo — 1 unit
![]() | Price: approximately €2,185 ($2,440 / £1,830) To manufacture larger components, we need a printer with a larger working area. The H2D Combo will make it possible to produce parts that cannot be accommodated by our smaller machines, reducing the need to divide designs into multiple pieces and assemble them afterward. This will expand the range of practical solutions we can manufacture in-house. |
5. SUNLU FilaDryer S4 Pro — 2 units
![]() |
Unit price: approximately €170 ($190 / £140) Properly dried filament is essential for reliable printing, particularly when working with moisture-sensitive engineering materials. Two filament dryers will help us prepare and maintain material in suitable condition, improving print consistency and reducing the risk of failed prints and wasted material. |
6. SUNLU FilaDC i10 — 1 unit
![]() | Price: approximately €270 ($305 / £230) FilaDC i10 is an intelligent filament dehumidifying cabinet designed to keep 3D printing materials dry and ready for use. Unlike conventional filament dryers, it uses a molecular sieve-based system to maintain a low-humidity environment at room temperature, making it suitable for long-term filament storage without continuous high-temperature heating. With a capacity of up to ten 1 kg spools, the FilaDC i10 helps protect moisture-sensitive materials, maintain consistent printing quality, and reduce filament waste. Its automatic humidity control, quiet operation, and low energy consumption make it a practical solution for a 3D printing farm operating multiple printers on a regular basis. As a newly introduced product, the FilaDC i10 is still scarcely available on the Ukrainian market. Its current local price is significantly higher than the manufacturer’s recommended price for the European and global markets. |
7. Initial Stock of Spare Parts and Consumables
![]() | Budget: approximately €2,100 ($2,345 / £1,760) To get started without unnecessary downtime, we have included an initial stock of spare parts and consumables for our ten printers. This will include items such as hotends, nozzles, build plates and other components that may require replacement during normal operation. Having these supplies on hand will allow us to address routine maintenance needs promptly and keep the farm running rather than waiting for replacement parts to arrive. |
8. Backup Power System
![]() | Configuration:
Estimated combined price: approximately €3,855 ($4,305 / £3,230) Unfortunately, Russia’s ongoing attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure make a reliable electricity supply an ongoing concern. For a facility operating multiple 3D printers, power interruptions can disrupt production, waste materials and cause print failures. We therefore need a backup power system capable of supporting the farm during outages. Since we already have personal experience with Deye equipment in our own homes, we have chosen a configuration based on the SUN-10K-SG02LP1-EU-AM3 inverter and two SE-G5.1 Pro-B battery modules. This system is intended to help us manage scheduled outages, complete prints already in progress and maintain essential operations when grid power is unavailable. |
Equipment Budget Summary
The equipment configuration above represents an estimated investment of approximately €14,565 ($16,290 / £12,195), including the initial stock of spare parts and consumables.
All prices are estimates and may change before the actual purchases are made.
Taxes and Fundraising Costs
The total cost of the planned equipment is approximately €14,565 ($16,290 / £12,195). Unfortunately, the way we have chosen to organize this project means that we must account for taxes and fundraising-related expenses on top of the equipment budget.
In Ukraine, fundraising without paying personal taxes would require a different legal structure, such as registering a charitable organization specifically to support the country’s Defense Forces. Such an organization would also involve additional administrative, accounting and reporting obligations, as well as complications if the project were ultimately discontinued.
For this project, we have chosen to raise the funds as an individual and have budgeted for the associated taxes and fees from the outset.
The expected costs include:
-
Personal income tax (18%)
-
Military levy (5%)
-
Payment processing, banking and currency conversion costs (approximately 5%)
The final category includes payment service fees, bank charges and potential losses caused by currency conversion, including situations where funds need to be converted more than once.
Together, these expenses significantly increase the amount we need to raise. We estimate that the total fundraising target should be approximately €18,810 ($21,040 / £15,750) to cover the planned equipment purchases and the associated costs.
We have chosen a target of €19,000 to account for these expenses and provide a reasonable budget for launching the project.
Transparency and Progress Updates
We want our supporters to be able to follow the project’s progress and understand how their contributions are being used.
We will regularly publish updates on funds received through alternative donation methods, including bank transfers and cryptocurrency.
As funds accumulate, we will purchase equipment in stages whenever practical, documenting our progress with photos, purchase receipts and updates on the equipment acquired. This way, supporters will be able to follow the project’s progress and see how the funds are being used.
Our aim is to keep the process transparent from the first purchase to the launch of the farm and beyond.

Post Scriptum
On October 14, I turned 40.
I had hoped to launch this campaign in time for my birthday, but
restrictions imposed by financial services based on my citizenship
delayed the launch a little.
I can’t think of a better birthday gift than the chance to turn
this idea into something real — a project that can help people and
grow into something meaningful.
If you believe in what we’re building, I’d be grateful for your
support. And if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign would mean a
lot, too.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
