The mission set forth by the Nation of Love is to create fresh inventive art with musical sounds.The N.O.L. promotes skillful musicians and songwriters whose goal is to compose from mind, body, and soul. N.O.L. artists strive to make each album an experience worth experiencing again and again.

The Nation of Love is an independent record label from mid-Missouri created by and for musicians. From March 14-21, the N.O.L will embark on its first label-wide tour.
The tour's destination is Austin, TX, where Violet and the Undercurrents, Ruth Acuff and the Future Kings will be playing several unofficial showcases during SXSW. SXSW is an annual music, film and interactive festival that takes place in Austin every year. Even though the showcases the N.O.L. is playing are not a part of the official SXSW festival, there are music representatives, musicians from all over the world, booking agents, and LOTS of music fans that attend both official and unofficial showcases. This week is one of the best weekends to get your music heard by a large group of people and make meaningful and important connections.

The N.O.L. has hosted three showcases to help raise funds for the trip, which have helped, but there is still much more to pay for. All proceeds raised will help support the N.O.L artists on their trip from Missouri to Texas.
EXPENSES INCLUDE:

Gas ($1500.00)
Lodging ($1500.00)
Showcase expenses ($2000.00)
Any additional funds will go to tour promotion (i.e. handouts, Facebook ads, business cards, posters, etc.)

March 19: Austin, TX @ Unofficial SXSW Showcase Midcoast Takeover at the Shangri-La (with Zorya)

March 19: Austin, TX @ Unofficial SXSW CatvsOwl Showcase at the Cherrywood Coffee House

March 20: Austin, TX @ Unofficial SXSW Home Tone Records Showcase at Maggie Mae's

March 20: Shreveport, LA @ The Brass Monkey
