My name is Sally. I am a healthcare professional currently working in a hospital while simultaneously pursuing my further medical studies. Every day, I dedicate my energy to taking care of others, but today, I am taking a difficult but necessary step to ask for a little help taking care of my own future.
I am starting this fundraiser to make a clean break from a difficult past, regain full control of my life, and secure a fresh start.
Why This Matters to Me
Lately, I’ve been running a marathon just to stay in place. Due to a past relationship, I was left carrying a heavy financial burden-specifically a credit card debt run up by my ex-boyfriend. Combined with my existing student loans, the weight of these monthly repayments has become overwhelming.
Even though I work hard at the hospital and study constantly, virtually everything I earn goes directly toward keeping these debts afloat. It has reached a point where I am struggling to cover basic, everyday living expenses, including my rent. I want nothing more than to close this chapter, stand on my own two feet, and finally live a normal, peaceful life without the ghosts of the past holding me back.
How the Funds Will Be Used
Every single dollar donated will go directly toward breaking these financial chains:
- Clearing the Credit Card Debt: Paying off the balance left behind by my ex to officially sever that tie to the past.
- Student Loan Repayment: Settling my educational debt so I can focus entirely on my medical career and studies.
- Securing Basic Housing: Covering my immediate rent and living expenses so I have a safe, stable place to live while I get back on track.
