Julie Schloss Fox hasn't added a story.
I met the Moran girls 6 years ago when they welcomed me into their
lives. I was their family before it became official in 2014. After I
became stuck with them there was no other place I would rather be.
The Moran girls consist of the oldest, Madison (17), Emma (15),
Ryleigh (13), Harper (4). They are parented by the wonderful duo of
Amanda and Mike.
The past couple years have been tough for the Moran crew. Over the summer Ryleigh received a diagnosis of Tourette Syndrome which presents with mobile and vocal tics. Most recently Ry has been diagnosed with a emergent Thyroid Disorder and Conversion Reaction. This has made for frequent visits to specialist who are out of insurance network, multiple hospital stays, and taking various high cost prescriptions. Additionally, all the time out of work to attend appointments and meetings with teachers and Special School District Professionals.
At the same time Madison, a senior in high school, has all but decided that she is done with school. Madison has struggled for the past 3 years with mental health disorders and there was a drastic change in the disorders following a concussion while she was on the cheerleading team. It changed her and she became violent towards herself and threatened violence to others. She spent sometime in behavioral units that was not fully covered by insurance. Currently she is attending a program to help her reach graduation and we are all hopeful that she will achieve that goal.
Amanda and Mike go out of their way to make sure that Emma and Harper receive just as much attention as the other two require. They take them on special outings and do things that they like to do. I often wonder how they have enough time in the day for everything. Amanda is Superwomen to me.
So that has what has brought us here. Expenses from the out-of-network bills are piling up, paid-time-off days are dwindling, prescription costs rise, and so does all the gas it take to run the whole family around. Cindy, her mother, and myself, sister-in-law #1 put our heads together to see if we could raise some funds to help them through these trying times and have decided to reach out to family and friends to lift Amanda, Mike and the girls up when they need it most.
All donations are graciously accepted and will be given to Amanda and Mike to use for bills, gas, and any outstanding fund we will ask them to take the girls somewhere fun.
Cindy (mother) and Julie (sister-in-law) will be the collectors and will report back to each funder on how the funds were used. If you have any questions please email familyof3foxes@gmail.com
