Hello community, I am seeking support to start my grad program in February 2026. I have to pay about over 5k due by November 2025. I decided to apply to graduate school this year because I want to continue support QTBIPOC and immigrants. Grad school was not in my mind until recently. As an immigrant who is excluded from grants and loans, I never thought I would be even applying. Immigrants are often left to pay for their own education and the cost is grand.
A couple months ago, I applied to a graduate
program in integrative psychology and I got in. Although I was
excited to hear the news, I sometimes think of not going because of
the cost. I was honestly stressed because I want to go but finding
private loans is a lot. But I dont want that to stop me from
learning and supporting my community in something that has been
central in my journey. mental health and wellness.
I honestly been lost in who I want to be and what I want to
become, but I came to a conclusion that I don't have to pick one
lane. I want to pursue grad school in an holistic program, so I can
be a therapist and also continue doing my ancestral healing work as
a curandersimo practicioner. I appreciate community so much because
community was there when my family and I were in proceedings and I
hope I can help my community heal from this colonial pain I felt of
prosecution and exclusion into re connection and support.
