Hello I'm Natalie,

I am Roberts best friend, caretaker, confidant, executor & state trustee. I miss him dearly. I'm also his only living next of kin. We where each others chosen family.

Welcome to his Cremation Fund.

I have some savings but not nearly enough, I need to raise 1,200 by May 16 or the coroner will no longer house his body past a certain date.

* this is urgent if I don't raise this money, my best friend will be buried in a mass paupers grave & I cannot bear the thought of that, never mind the reality.

I need help I have been saving since his death on February 26 2021.

Feb. 26th 2021 was one of the worst days of my life, my best friend died despite my best efforts in CPR he passed.

I was at his side for every single, painful day the moment he told me he was sick in late Oct, even though I lost my grandmother that same month I rushed to his side. At first I'd come every other day until November then I started staying overnight for a few days & go to my girlfriend's place for 1 day, when he was in hospital I visited as often as allowed.

At first the worst we expected was he may lose a leg, he had a septic infection. He was getting better in early to late November, but about a week into Dec he ended up in hospital then after being in a coma in late December for 3 weeks, he woke up in early January that's when I got him home & cared for him every day, because that's what friends do.

After being in a coma for 3 weeks after coming home from St Michaels hospital in Toronto we discovered he had gotten *Clostridium Difficile.back to hospital he went with much protest, making me promise to get him back home ASAP.

(*Clostridium Difficile; is a bacterial infection of the intestinal variety, that can ONLY be acquired in hospital due to human error.)

He came home in early Feb, allegedly clear of C-difficile.

To my great horror on the 18th of February Robert became delirious & was physically weak, he had to be taken to the emergency room. Robert called me several times begging me to come get him to which I obliged after how he told me he was being treated again by nursing staff.

I told him give me time to plan & I'll get you out, within 36 hrs the plan was in place to come get him, so I sent my partner to get him in a cab as they wouldn't let him sign out AMA unless someone picked him up, this was February 20th.

He was getting better, he was improving over the next 5 days so at least it seemed, he was happy & eating as well as he could with little to no appetite. He was taking his meds properly though he was in great pain he was happy to be home.

The morning of Feb 26 he called for me to help him, I gave him his meds he needed & sat talking with him. All the sudden he got sick & showed what I know (via CPR &first aid lvl C training)to be signs of cardiac arrest, I called 911 & started compressions & continued until paramedics arrived. Robert died in my arms.

At this time after attempting to save the life of my best friend, roommate and one of the sweetest people I've ever met, the police told me I had to leave because I was not on the lease even though Robert had left paperwork stating the lease needed to be transferred into my name. I don't care about any of that I just want my friend home, this is why I'm starting a fundraiser to get the money to cremate my friend it's near $1,600 to get the cremation done. The urn is already bought & is ready & waiting for his cremains.I have some of the money saved up about $550.

I'm asking, I'm begging, I'm pleading please help me raise the last $1200 I need to have my best friend cremated.

Robert did not want a funeral His Last Wishes are to be cremated and to remain with me until my death at which time he is to be interred in the same Niche that I will be so we may be together in death as we were in life. Also his close chosen family will get keepsake necklaces with some of his ashes in them.

(I've already purchased all the necklaces for those on the list.)

He saved my life, helped me escape an abusive relationship, gave me a home when I didn't have one and loved me unconditionally for the person I am as I loved him for the wonderful person I will always remember as Loyal, brave, compassionate & a loving true friend.

I must carry out his last wishes as a token of appreciation & gratitude for such a generous, loving man. Robert was in avid member & an original founder of the ever growing #locksportcommunity

Please help me achieve this goal by donating what you can, if you can't donate please share on all your social media accounts.

Fundraiser ends on May 16 11:59pm

  2. What is your solution?
Describe your plan to address the problem and highlight what makes your approach unique or effective.
  3. How will the funds be used?
Outline how the money will be allocated to specific programs, resources or services.
  4. How will contributions make a tangible difference?
