Scott Heimermann has spent over 30 years imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. A respected businessman in his community, Scott was approached by a man named Edward Piscatello, who offered him an investment opportunity in a multi-million-dollar real-estate project. Unbeknownst to Scott, Piscatello was a violent career criminal, involved with drug traffickers and the Mafia, and the real-estate project was only a front for Piscatellos criminal dealings. By the time Scott learned the true nature of this venture, he was trapped, fearing violent retaliation if he were to withdraw from the operation.
This all lead to the events of August 19, 1989, when Scott unwittingly witnessing the murder of 2 gang members at the hands of Piscatello and accomplice Joseph Isajiw. As Scott did not report the crime, due to fear of retaliation, he became another suspect in the MPD’s investigation. Josephs brother, Nicholas Isajiw, was also on the hook for the murders, having supplied the weapons used by Piscatello and Joseph, and aiding in disposing the bodies. Seeking to convict Scott, but lacking evidence of his participation in the crime, Milwaukee police offered Joseph a deal. They would drop charges against his brother, in exchange for false statements implicating Scott in the crime. Joseph provided these statements, but has since reneged his statements on Scott’s involvement, and accused the MPD and the District Attorney’s office of coercing him to make these statements.
Scott was convicted on the basis of this coerced testimony, and sentenced to two consecutive life sentences. To this day Scott continues to fight to receive justice, however, after 30 years of the City of Milwaukee stalling and refusing to release evidence to Scott and his Attorneys, Scott can no longer afford to fight for the freedom he has been denied, and is reaching out for public support, for your help in correcting this grievous miscarriage of justice.
Any donations will directly support Scotts battle by being used
towards attorneys fees, filing fees, etc.
