Our beautiful Mother, Gladys Esi Brew Hanson, 73, of Vienna Virginia went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2022. She was born in Accra, Ghana on December 14, 1948. Sadly, at a young age, she lost her mother, but fortunately was adored by her father, and he raised her until he passed away. Although very difficult for her, she lived with her relatives until she became a young adult. During those years, she recalled times where she felt lost and hungry and would even walk on the beach looking for any leftover food. Ironically, and beautifully, in her later years, she was known for all the food she would cook for the family, friends, churches, customers, and even strangers. Even though she was raised without her parents, she was affectionately referred to as "Mother", "Mom", "Mother Gladys"  "Auntie Gladys", "Mom Gladys".  It seemed many people who crossed her path, were greatly impacted by her love, spirituality, and kindness.

My mother's heart was always so huge. Anyone who knew her knew that she would literally give the clothes off her back. One of her biggest dreams was to help villages in her birth country Ghana; by building a well. This well would provide clean water to people and help to eradicate diseases, support education, and provide sustenance.

So, we are asking for donations to help sponsor a well in her name so her dream can come true.   As she blessed us during her lifetime, we want to help her achieve this dream to bless others.  We really appreciate everyone's help.  Thanks alot!
