Roxie Poeschl hasn't added a story.
Roxie Poeschl was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer in August 2014 at 35 years old. After surgery it was discovered it had spread to the lymph nodes meaning Stage 2 Breast Cancer.
Roxie lives with her adoring husband Ross and her beautiful 4 year old son Rylan. As you can imagine the extra costs and loss of work has taken a toll on their budget. Ross was in his last semester of school and had to take a leave to take care of Roxie after her first surgery.
Roxie then had Chemotherapy which is awful nasty drugs that took a toll on the nerves in her fingers and toes which are numb and also feels arthritic at times. Like the worst flu in your bones and body everywhere.
After Chemotherapy, Oncology suggested a shot to suppress her ovaries from making estrogen or a hysterectomy. She opted for the hysterectomy which lead to an internal ultrasound which lead to finding the cyst on her ovaries. Right now they are thinking it is a Dermoid which is most likely benign but they won't know until Pathology after the surgeries on February 24th. They ended up NOT finding what they saw but all gone now!
They also tested her Prolactin levels and they were elevated so they scheduled an MRI of her brain and Thyroid test. However, Roxie did her research and found out that with the magnets in her expanders (ports to add fill) she couldn't have an MRI. Roxie called the MRI department to confirm and sure enough rescheduled it for March 31st. Her OB Dr didn't know this. Thyroid test came back as "normal" according to their levels. Now, they wait to see what is going on in the brain if anything. It just keeps coming but if anything all of this is finally getting Roxie figured out and explains a lot of symptoms she has had for a couple years besides the Cancer.
The MRI did find a Pituitary gland tumor but the specialist said he was just monitoring it for now. Set up for now with an Endocrinologist and a Neurosurgeon to figure her out. Also a Eye Field Test to make sure it isn't messing with her eyes as this tumor could get big enough to press on the Optic Nerves and she could go blind.
The Poeschl family was asked to put together a fundraising page for the people who would like to help donate towards the copays, ongoing bills, more surgeries, and radiation, chemotherapy, etc.
The Poeschl's Thank You from the bottom of their hearts any amount that is donated and bless you for the thoughts and prayers as well!
